We are closely monitoring the Hurricane Idalia as it approaches Florida.
We would like you to prepare in advance by stocking a supply of water for you and your family in the event that we would have to shut down the plant due to circumstances beyond our control.
If water service is lost, we will make every effort to restore services as soon as possible once the danger passes and it is safe for our employees to return to work and the field.
This is a precautionary step to stock a supply of water prior to the storm.
Floral city water will do everything we can to maintain water flow to you during the hurricane.
PLEASE NOTE: if you notice a loss of pressure or discoloration you should not assume your water is safe to drink and should boil your water before consuming until you receive a notification from us that your water is safe to drink.
Please refer to our website and Facebook page for additional information and updates.
We would like to thank you for your understanding and pray for everyone’s safety and wellbeing in the coming days.
Floral City Water Association Incorporated was formed by the people of the Floral City community in 1969. We initially had 250 members served by a single 4″ well. We are overseen by a seven member non-compensated Board of Directors and are staffed by seven employees. We currently have over 58 miles of distribution lines and supply the majority of the water needs for the Floral City area including Floral City Elementary School, Withlapopka Island, Duval Island, and many other outlying areas. Water is provided to our members from groundwater sources at our Stagecoach Trail Facility.
